Deliveries of Raspberry Pi begin £16 PC!!

After a couple of minor delays including having to pass EC electromagnetic emissions, the first batch of Raspberry Pi computers has been delivered.

The £16 ‘bare-bones’ computers have been designed to encourage interest in computer programming; especially amongst school children. According to the BBC, among the first recepients were a group of school children in Leeds.

The Raspberry Pi organisation said that now “serial production has begun” it expects that “the backlog should be cleared sooner than some of you were hoping.”

With deliveries under way, Rasberry Pi said it would also reopen its store so people can order the computers.

The organisation has posted more videos and blogs on its website that will help people unfamiliar with computer programming get to grips with the Raspberry Pi.
